Start with measurements you can compare
Decide which dimension matters most to you before sorting by S, M, or L. If you want a shorter usable shaft, compare insertable length first. If your priority is a narrower profile, look at circumference together with the head and shaft measurements. For handling, include net product weight.
Keep these fields separate:
- Insertable length: the listed usable shaft length. Check the measurement's starting and ending points when they are provided.
- Total length: the full product length, including the base. A sculpted base can account for a substantial part of this measurement.
- Head and shaft width or diameter: measurements across specific parts of the product. Keep the seller's measurement label; a measured width should not automatically be renamed diameter.
- Circumference: the distance around the stated part of the shaft. Use a separately measured value when available.
- Net weight: the product's weight without shipping packaging.
Length and girth answer different questions. A model with a longer insertable section can have a smaller circumference than a shorter one. Weight adds another distinction, especially when you expect to hold or reposition the product by hand.
For help identifying the measurements, see Kervyra's Dildo Size Guide. A size letter alone cannot establish whether a product matches your requirements.
Compare the head, shaft profile, and texture
The widest part of a realistic dildo may sit below the head. Rovekel S, for example, has a head width of approximately 1.38 in / 3.5 cm and a maximum mid-shaft width of 1.93 in / 4.9 cm. The head measurement therefore describes only one part of its profile.
Decide which shape you are looking for: a pronounced head rim, a fuller middle, or a shaft with less variation in width. Record where the broadest section sits alongside its measurement. This gives you more useful information than a single maximum number.

Surface detail deserves the same attention. Raised veins, folds, and a defined rim are physical contours. Shading and painted vein accents add visual detail. When comparing a textured realistic dildo, consider both the prominence of the contours and where they appear along the shaft.

Choose the appearance you like, then check the construction separately. A detailed finish tells you about the design; the product description needs to explain how the exterior and core behave.
Check surface give and whole-body firmness separately
Construction terms become useful when they explain a specific difference between candidates.
A dual-density dildo may combine a softer exterior with a firmer core. For Rovekel, the outer layer compresses under pressure and stays fixed around the core. Its overall feel is described as firm. That combination matters if you want a compressible surface while retaining a firm body.
Velrasken also has a softer exterior over a firmer core, with a firm overall feel. Its outer shaft layer can slide relative to the body underneath. The layer stays attached and is not a removable sleeve; the head does not have a retractable foreskin.
The buying question is whether independent outer-layer movement is a feature you want. Compare the dimensions first, then decide how much that structural difference matters to you. Sliding skin does not change the listed product length.
The sliding-skin and dual-density comparison explains these two examples in more detail. For the distinction between surface softness, firmness, and flexibility, read the silicone firmness guide.
Include the base and care requirements in the decision
For a suction cup dildo, check the stated mounting conditions, the base dimensions where available, and any attachment restrictions. The three models compared below have suction-cup bases. That shared feature does not establish identical holding performance or harness compatibility.

Confirm the intended use and any required compatibility with the seller for the specific model. Keep those requirements on your shortlist rather than assuming them from a broad base or a familiar silhouette.
Additional features can add practical questions. Orelvask has a water reservoir inside its sculpted testicles, operated by pressing that section, with water entering and leaving through an opening in the head. If you want this feature, check the instructions for filling, internal cleaning, drainage, and drying before choosing it.
Use care and lubricant instructions that apply to the exact material, finish, and construction. If those instructions leave an important question unanswered, ask for clarification before buying.
Put the same fields beside each candidate
The following comparison uses the S variant of each model. These are three different sets of dimensions, each carrying the same size letter.
| Model, S variant | Listed insertable length | Circumference | Net weight | Documented feature |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Orelvask | 4.09 in / 10.4 cm | 5.63 in / 14.3 cm | 1.00 lb / 451.7 g | Sculpted base with a built-in water reservoir |
| Rovekel | 8.15 in / 20.7 cm | 5.98 in / 15.2 cm | 0.95 lb / 429.9 g | Compressible outer layer fixed around a firmer core |
| Velrasken | 7.20 in / 18.3 cm | 7.95 in / 20.2 cm | 2.44 lb / 1108.5 g | Non-removable outer shaft layer that slides over a firmer core |

Specifications are from Kervyra's product records, checked October 27, 2026. Metric dimensions and net weights come from physical measurements; inch and pound values are approximate conversions. Circumference is measured separately. Compare the full measurement tables on the linked product pages before selecting a variant.
Several differences become clear when the fields line up. Orelvask S has the shortest listed insertable length and smallest circumference in this comparison, but Rovekel S has the lowest net weight. A shorter shaft does not necessarily mean a lighter product.
Rovekel S has a longer insertable section than Velrasken S, while Velrasken S has a larger circumference and greater weight. If one of those dimensions is your main priority, it can change which model stays on your list.
Velrasken's sliding layer is a separate reason to consider it. Check that feature together with its dimensions, rather than allowing interest in the construction to settle the size decision for you.
What is the best realistic dildo for my priorities?
Start by naming the requirement that would rule a model out. That might be its insertable length, circumference, weight, or a feature you specifically want. The best realistic dildo for your shortlist is one whose documented details match those requirements.
For the three S variants above, that could mean:
- A shorter usable shaft: examine Orelvask S first, then decide whether its profile and reservoir feature match what you want.
- More listed insertable length with less circumference than Velrasken S: compare Rovekel S, including its fuller middle and fixed outer layer.
- Independent outer-layer movement: examine Velrasken, while checking its larger circumference and weight against your requirements.
These are ways to narrow a comparison, not universal fit recommendations. Keep two or three candidates, write down why each remains, and resolve any missing measurement or compatibility details with the seller. If none meets your requirements, broaden the search.
