How to Compare Fantasy Dildo Sizes and Materials

For adult shoppers comparing fantasy dildos, a distinctive design is only one part of the decision. Product measurements, material information, and firmness descriptions make it easier to compare options without relying on a photograph or a size label alone.

This guide uses Kervyra’s Quilvaren as a practical example of how to read a product specification. It is a comparison guide, not a recommendation that a particular size or design will suit everyone.

Start with measurements, not S or M

Size labels are useful within a product range, but they are not a universal measurement system. An S in one design should not be assumed to match an S in another. Start by writing down the actual dimensions of the products you are comparing, using the same units throughout.

Separate total length from insertable length. Total length includes the base; insertable length is listed independently. Comparing one product’s total length with another’s insertable length can make two different products appear more similar than they are.

Compare width as carefully as length

A single length measurement cannot describe a sculpted shape. Check the head diameter and the maximum body diameter separately. A tapered design can have a relatively narrow head while being considerably wider elsewhere.

Also check any listed circumference measurements. Diameter measures across a cross-section, while circumference measures around it. On a textured or irregular shape, measurements may refer to different points. If a listing does not explain where a measurement was taken, ask rather than assuming that every figure describes the same cross-section.

A worked example: Quilvaren S and M

Quilvaren is a dragon-inspired fantasy design available in S and M. Its current product specifications list the following measurements:

  • S: total length 6.73 in / 17.1 cm, insertable length 5.91 in / 15 cm, head diameter 1.10 in / 2.8 cm, maximum body diameter 1.85 in / 4.7 cm.
  • M: total length 7.87 in / 20 cm, insertable length 7.01 in / 17.8 cm, head diameter 1.34 in / 3.4 cm, maximum body diameter 2.09 in / 5.3 cm.

Inch values are approximate conversions.

These figures show that M differs in both length and width. S is the smaller of the two options, but the label alone is not evidence that it is suitable for every first-time buyer. Compare the complete specifications with dimensions you already know, rather than choosing from the label alone.

Read material and firmness as separate details

Quilvaren’s product information identifies its material as platinum-cured silicone and its firmness as medium-soft, based on a hand-compression assessment. These statements describe different properties: one identifies the material, while the other describes how the product yields in that assessment.

Do not treat a firmness description as a substitute for measurements. A softer product still has its listed dimensions. Unless two products share a defined testing scale, the same firmness label also should not be assumed to mean exactly the same thing across brands.

Check the information a listing does not provide

Before choosing, look for product-specific care instructions and any documented material information that matters to you. Do not infer certifications, test results, or compatibility claims from the word silicone alone. Ask the seller to clarify missing details rather than filling them in from another product’s description.

Keep a simple comparison note

For each candidate, record total length, insertable length, maximum width, material, firmness description, and any unanswered questions. Keeping those details together makes differences easier to see and helps separate a design preference from a measurement-based decision.
